| The
Air Force Nonappropriated Fund Purchasing Office (AFNAFPO) was
established in February 1973 as a central nonappropriated fund
purchasing function in support of NAF activities worldwide. As
part of the Air Force Services Agency, the AFNAFPO is dedicated
to supporting Air Force readiness and mission accomplishment by
providing corporate purchasing programs in support of activities
that stimulate physical fitness, community cohesion, family well-being,
and quality of life.
The
AFNAFPO is responsible for purchasing support to over 3000 DoD
activities worldwide through the Commander's Smart Buy Program
(CSBP). The CSBP is the trade name representing all purchasing
programs initiated and managed by the AFNAFPO. Trading partners
selected to participate in the CSBP are considered prime sources
for purchases made from activities using nonappropriated funds.
THE AFNAFPO ORGANIZATION
The AFNAFPO is divided into three customer-focused
business centers and one support unit. Each of the business
centers is subdivided into Strategic Business Units (SBUs),
which act like small self-directed business entities to deliver
products and services to the customer. Each business unit has
goals to maximize opportunities on behalf of the customer. The
following is an overview of the organization at the AFNAFPO.

PROCEDURES & TRAINING
Contracting Policy & Procedures, NAF
Contracting Warrant Program, Administrative Support, Implementation
and Training of the Internet Based Purchasing System (IBPS),
and trains NAF purchasing personnel.
E-COMMERCE
& TECHNICAL SUPPORT
IBPS Infrastructure, Web Administration,
Systems Support.
